HOW TO CREATE THE CUTEST GENDER NEUTRAL BATHROOM

Bathroom decor ideas

As a mama of two kiddos, a boy and a girl, finding the right gender neutral linens for our their bathroom was tough! A style and design for a shared bathroom space can be complicated, but keep looking, trust me, it’ll be worth it! We started by painting the bathroom a neutral white. My favorite, Benjamin Moore White Dove! This helped create a neutral backdrop for any linens to compliment.

Now for starters, the color combo… I wasn’t looking for too much pink, or too much blue… I wanted neutral, but still fun, friendly, and a space where they would feel like I took them each into consideration. When I found these OpalHouse towels from Targer, I knew they were just what I was looking for. They have a bit of pink, a little blue and a sweet cyan color.

When I found these towels, I thought, if they’re as cute as the image online, and feel nice they could work… I need you to know, COVID is a thing right now, so going into the store everyday is not always the best option… So after ordering several, and I mean several towels, I decided, I FINALLY found a winner! YAY! I also ordered hooded towels, one poodle and one shark. Our son is much older and loves sharks, and our daughter will love the pink!

Our last additions were a shower curtain, I went with a neutral white waffle knit for texture, and some fun toothbrush holders, and matching soap canister. The rainbow letters fit perfect for boy and girl, and paired well with the white! As mentioned before, we did get some hooded towels, and since we moved one of the hand towel hooks, which never made since of the placement, we opened a spot next to the shower for hooks. These hooks matched our space well, and were easy to pick up with my Target Drive Up order.

After moving in, this bathroom to me, was a huge eyesore, but a quick coat of paint, some placement arrangements for hooks, and it feels rejuvenated. One day I hope to refresh the mirrors and lights, but for now they work.

I’m still not 100% finished with this space, but… I never really am, but for now, I’m extremely HAPPY with this transformation, and my kiddos love it too!! What do you think?
